The Opportunity:

Whether developing technical requirements, identifying security and other relevant requirements, or flexing to support an emerging requirement, our clients need a consultant who can help to establish platforms to enable effective and secure exchanges of medical imagining data. That is why we need you, an experienced medical imaging data scientist who can critically review options for the establishment of a medical imaging data exchange and provide high-quality support.

As part of our team, you'll serve as a strategic technical consultant to clients in our health science market, including the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), helping to advise on the development of medical imaging data platforms that support government-funded research and development programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone.

What You’ll Work On: 

  • Support the development of a Medical Imaging Data Exchange, a national platform linking medical imaging data providers and users, expected to rely on a hybrid architecture, with centralized and federated components.

  • Develop technical requirements such as architecture or data standards, for a centralized and federated hybrid medical imaging data exchange platform to make data available from hundreds of providers using a variety of cloud environments, tools, and architectures.

  • Identify security and other relevant requirements or considerations.

  • Advise on functionality tradeoffs stemming from technical decisions.

  • Contribute to writing selections of solicitations.

  • Estimate costs and challenges associated with various work or technical decisions.

You Have: 

  • 10+ years of experience with medical data repositories or commons  

  • Experience working on systems supporting medical imaging data

  • Experience with cloud computing in multiple cloud environments  

  • Experience integrating multiple datasets from disparate sources into a common platform  

  • Experience with the development of hybrid system architectures  

  • Experience with systems architecture and design 

  • Experience in software development, data analysis, and data visualization

  • Knowledge of medical imaging data standards

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements 

  • Doctorate degree in Neuroimaging Data Processing or Medical Image Data Processing

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with federated system design, implementation, and management

  • Experience in neuroimaging data processing and medical image processing  

  • Experience in a consulting environment 

  • Ability to develop and convey meaningful insights, significant contributions, and recommendations to address complex client issues 

  • Ability to learn, grow, and develop new skill sets 

  • Ability to display creativity and resourcefulness 

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities 

  • Ability to manage multiple short and long-term projects effectively 

  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail and diligent adherence to deadlines and deliverables 

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
