Job Description
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Account Manager to oversee security operations and manage staffing for a key account located downtown Chicago. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage and motivate security teams, and a thorough understanding of security protocols. The Account Manager will be responsible for hiring, interviewing, and onboarding new security personnel to ensure optimal coverage and performance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in security management and talent acquisition within the security industry.
Employment Details
- Salary: $ 60,000 - $ 65,000 / Yearly
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Requirements
- Minimum Age: 21+
- Experience: Must have 5+ years of management experience in the security industry
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily security operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and client requirements
- Lead and manage a team of security personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns promptly and effectively
- Prepare and review reports related to security operations, incidents, and personnel performance
- Implement security protocols and ensure the proper functioning of security systems and procedures
- Manage schedules, staffing, and resource allocation to meet operational demands
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and improve security strategies
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of security management experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in security operations, risk management, and emergency response planning
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions under pressure
Allied Universal is looking to hire an Account Manager. Account Manager jobs at Allied Universal are accountable for day-to-day operations of an assigned account, including hiring, training, disciplining and terminating staff. Build, improve and maintain relationships with clients and employees: develop & retain staff; coordinate needed support services and solve problems to effectively run the account. Meet or exceed financial & operational goals; provide quality customer service. Maintains or oversees maintenance of weekly operating schedules and completion of payroll for assigned security personnel. Provides after-hour emergency response as required. To support and ensure success in this role, we provide a comprehensive, week-long management onboarding course designed to provide best practices, tools and guidance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise the day to day security operations of an assigned client site
- Manage a team of security officers, site and/or shift supervisors including hiring/selection, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development and support
- Ensure the client site is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property
- Build, improve and maintain effective relationships with both client and employees
- Coordinate necessary support services to effectively manage client site to meet or exceed financial and operational goals and provide quality customer service
- Ensure all required reporting and contract compliance requirements are met
- Assure regular communication of issues or program with Client
- Handle any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately
- Other management responsibilities as determined by leadership
- Communicate staffing needs via Requisition Form; assist recruiters in identifying, interviewing and hiring quality candidates
