AZ Prescription Processing Technician

About the role

 We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Prescription Processing Technician to support our pharmacy operations by handling mailed-in prescriptions. This role involves reviewing, organizing, and processing prescriptions in compliance with state regulations and company policies.

 

When will you work?

  • The hours for this position are Monday – Friday 9:00 am -5:30 pm.  If hired, you must start at our Scottsdale site and will be transferring to our new facility in  Chandler before the end of the year.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Receive and open mailed-in prescriptions
  • Verify completeness and legibility of prescription documents
  • Sort, scan and enter prescription information into the system
  • Ensure prescriptions are processed according to regulatory standards
  • Communicate with pharmacists and the internal team to resolve prescription issues
  • Perform general clerical tasks related to mail handling and recordkeeping
  • Follow Arizona Board of Pharmacy guidelines
  • Provide support for a variety of pharmacy technician duties

 

Who you are:

  • Professional and positive demeanor required
  • Possesses a strong knowledge of common office technology
  • Experience reading prescriptions preferred
  • Strong personal computer and internet skills with knowledge of basic Microsoft office applications
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 

What you’ve done:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Arizona Pharmacy Technician Trainee License (Required) ***Must obtain pharmacy tech license before trainee license expires***
  • Prior experience in a pharmacy or medical setting is a plus
  • Normal office activity, including keyboarding, interacting with others, participating in meetings, extended periods of sitting and/or standing in an open office environment.
