Job Description

Visa USA Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to work with the development team to develop software applications. Complete tasks related to the complete software development lifecycle, including technical requirements, development, and testing. Take undocumented old-style integration and wrap it up into a simple and easy to explain API. Diagnose design issues present when working in a highly available web farm rather than a single instance of code. Ensure projects react well in production environment as well as pass QA. Coordinate cross-functionality with Database, Support, and Deployment teams to deliver projects on time. Facilitate interactions between internal and third party systems as needed. Take part in design sessions and projects to help drive them to completion. Position reports to the Employer’s Austin, TX office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science or closely related field.

Rate of Pay: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $102,300.00 USD to $158,600.00 USD per year. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity.
