This Opportunity
WSP USA, Inc. is seeking a Northeast Water and Wastewater Lead to accelerate our growth and advance our performance in drinking water and wastewater across the Northeast. You will set the tone for culture, drive operational excellence, expand strategic client relationships, and serve as a visible water leader in our industry. In this role, you will be part of the delivery of transformational projects, from the Metropolitan Water Tunnel for MWRA to PFSA treatment projects in New York. Operational Excellence
Deliver budgeted year over year organic growth within the Practice Area.
Achieve margin and project performance targets through proactive risk management, disciplined delivery, and consistent QA/QC across multi-disciplinary teams.
Optimize resource planning across offices.
Strategic Growth & Business Development
Craft and implement targeted market growth strategies, aligned with our regional and global water growth strategy.
Strengthen strategic accounts and drive exceptional client care within the northeast water/wastewater practice area.
Build and maintain a 4:1 pipeline (qualified pursuits to bookings) that aligns with the business plan.
Provide end-to-end pursuit leadership for key opportunities: own capture plans, positioning, and win strategies.
Provide go/no go decision making for practice area opportunities to align investment of business development dollars with growth strategy.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and inspire cross-functional collaboration.
Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering or related field.
15 years of post-education experience in water/wastewater engineering, with at least 10 years of related experience in New England.
Professional Engineering License (PE) in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, or Rhode Island.
Candidate must have strong technical writing and communication skills.
Advanced proficiency with engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, standard of care and project work-related issues.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
Proven history of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Travel within the Northeast region, with potential for travel beyond region.
Preferred Qualifications
Design-build or other alternative project delivery experience.
Master’s degree in engineering or business management.
Professional Engineering License (PE) in multi-states.
Compensation:
Expected Salary: $139,800 - $249,150
