Safety Analyst, Sr. - Security Camera Support

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 annually
Position Overview: The City of Atlanta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Analyst Sr. to oversee the monitoring, maintenance, and management of security cameras across the Park and Recreation facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability and operational efficiency of the security camera network, utilizing Fusus technology, and providing effective solutions for service interruptions or offline cameras. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring live security feeds, troubleshooting issues, ensuring proper installation and functionality of cameras, and facilitating necessary repairs or replacements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor Security Camera Feeds: Continuously observe and review security camera footage across City of Atlanta Park and Recreation locations to identify potential security concerns or incidents.
- Camera Maintenance: Ensure that all security cameras are online and operational. Troubleshoot and resolve any connectivity or functionality issues, coordinating with the appropriate team or vendor when necessary.
- Fusus System Management: Utilize the Fusus system for real-time camera monitoring, data analysis, and security management. Stay updated with system enhancements and best practices.
- Service Offline Cameras: Identify and report cameras that are offline or malfunctioning. Take immediate action to restore functionality, including coordinating repairs and replacements as needed.
- Installation Support: Assist with the installation of new cameras, ensuring proper setup, calibration, and integration into the existing network.
- System Integration: Ensure that all newly installed or existing cameras are fully integrated into the security system, providing a seamless and efficient security operation.
- Reporting: Provide detailed reports on system performance, camera status, and any incidents or issues. Document all repairs, services, and maintenance actions taken.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the security team, IT staff, and external vendors to maintain a high standard of security surveillance for the park and recreation facilities.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols, industry standards, and best practices regarding surveillance systems.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with security camera systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation.
- Familiarity with Fusus: Proficient in using the Fusus system for monitoring, data analysis, and camera management.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of both new and existing security cameras, including IP cameras and CCTV systems.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving technical issues with security cameras or related systems.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for providing clear reports and collaborating with various teams.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring that all systems are functioning properly and providing accurate reports of any issues or incidents.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification: Security camera system certifications (e.g., Certified Security Systems Integrator) preferred.
- Experience with Other Security Technologies: Familiarity with other security technologies, such as access control systems, is a plus.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of network infrastructure and connectivity, especially as it pertains to security systems.
Work Environment:
- Work Schedule: Full-time position with potential on-call requirements based on incidents or emergencies.
- Location: The position requires monitoring of multiple park and recreation facilities across the City of Atlanta, with flexibility for remote monitoring as needed.
