The University of Arizona's Department of Psychology invites you to apply for the role of Research Program Administration Officer III. In this role, you will lead the strategic implementation of the SEMA Lab ecosystem, including identification and deployment of funding opportunities, supporting university and community outreach programs, and building collaborations within and outside the university system.

You will plan and lead the deployment of lab operations through Objective and Key Results (OKRs) and lab goals under the direction of the lab director and PI. You will also play an active role in research activities, including training staff and undergraduate researchers, running projects, and supporting data analysis and write-up. Additionally, you will contribute to the growth of the lab by developing philanthropic initiatives and advancing grant efforts.

At SEMA Lab, we aim to biophysically operationalize the measurement of mindful awareness and clarify, using gold-standard clinical criteria, how these skills serve to significantly increase physiological and psycho-social wellbeing. Our research seeks to deepen our understanding of how mindfulness works and to expand access to its benefits for patients and the broader population.

The Department of Psychology, part of the School of Mind, Brain, and Behavior (MBB) within the College of Science, is committed to advancing our strengths in scientific research and science-based training. Psychology is inherently interdisciplinary, and our faculty, staff, and students actively collaborate with other MBB programs and departments - including Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, and Speech, Language and Hearing Science - as well as a wide range of academic units across campus. Through innovative, multidisciplinary research, we advance the understanding of the mind and brain, promote successful development and aging, and develop innovative approaches to optimizing mental health. By engaging and mentoring students, we prepare the next generation of scientists, scholars, and leaders in society. We invite you to join a team of dedicated researchers, educators, and innovators working together to shape the future of psychological science.
