- Our two-year, rotational Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP) provides challenging opportunities via short-term work assignments across the enterprise as you move to locations around the U.S.A.

- In your first rotation, you will work within the Missile Defense Sensors Software Department in Woburn, MA supporting the development of software on our Missile Defense Sensors Products. We strive for technical excellence by drawing upon a diverse workforce whose knowledge base covers the complete spectrum of modern languages and computing platforms.
What You Will Do
- Stretch your capabilities and enhance learning with frontline, hands-on assignments.
- Relocate to different RTX cities/states while in program to broaden your exposure to the business and further develop your leadership and functional skills and business acumen.
- In your first rotation you will:
- Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.
- Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
- Participate in internal review of software components and systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering.
- Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering or a related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree. Degree must be obtained between December 2024 - May 30, 2025.
- Requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
- Experience with C++, C, Java or similar higher level programming language.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Cumulative 3.2 GPA
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, systems software design, operating systems, architectures, software development life cycle and processes.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including ability to produce technical documentation, and the desire to learn new technologies and tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience developing software in a team-based development environment, preferably Agile/SCRUM, DevOps and test automation.
