About the Role  

The IS Systems Administrator will work alongside IS Technical Support and IS Systems Infrastructure Engineers to support, maintain, and optimize the company’s core IT infrastructure. You will ensure that systems and processes operate efficiently, securely, and in compliance with industry and company standards, while acting as a technical escalation point for the support team.

   

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Act as primary escalation points for support desk issues relating to core infrastructure.
  • Perform day-to-day systems administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and break-fix support.
  • Monitor systems, implement updates, and maintain operational compliance with departmental and industry standards.
  • Plan and implement improvements to IT systems and services.
  • Perform regular system checks, backups, restores, and document changes according to company standards.
  • Mentor and support other IS Technical Support staff.
  • Ensure IT environments meet compliance, security, and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Promote best practices and usage of IS tools across the business.

 

Additional Expectations 

  • Some out-of-hours support may be required.
  • Undertake any training provided by the organization.
  • Be flexible in challenges and changes, and support other reasonable duties as requested.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the IS department, actively promoting IT tools and standards.
  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy. 
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands. 
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System. 
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

 

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar IT support/admin role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016–2022), Active Directory, O365 (SharePoint, OneDrive), networking fundamentals, print/file services, anti-virus management, and backup/restore processes.
  • Understanding of systems patching, vulnerability management, and security fundamentals.
  • Basic experience with terminal services and/or Citrix.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and team-work skills.
  • Experience with PowerShell, VBA, or VBScript scripting.
  • Advanced Windows Server administration.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL (DBA or T-SQL).
  • Advanced Citrix or Windows Terminal Services experience.
  • Exposure to cloud platform
