JOB OPPORTUNITY:  Senior Supply Chain Director

 

This senior leader is an essential member of the Celeros FT leadership and is responsible for positively impacting the overall success of the business.  This position has global responsibility for the Celeros FT supply chain and procurement performance, and delivers results of higher quality, improved delivery, higher end product margins, and cost savings.

 

This position’s primary purpose is to develop and implement the global sourcing strategy for direct and indirect material & services purchases that position the business for growth and cost competitive advantage.  The person in this role will lead initiatives that improve the business’ performance including, but not limited to, driving best cost country sourcing programs, implementing robust supplier quality development controls and enhancing supplier on-time delivery.  Leads a team of category managers, procurement leaders, and supplier quality professionals to source top spend categories to achieve business plan growth, productivity, quality, delivery and working capital targets by leveraging the global spend for goods & services across all manufacturing sites & services centers.

 

The person in this role will also contribute to developing and maintaining a sustained and long-term continuous improvement culture and an efficient organization that consistently produces improved results while motivating and retaining its employees with high performance standards.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops and implements annual sourcing savings plan for top direct spend categories (commodities) that meets annual business plan targets. 

• Implements collaborative culture of sourcing savings initiative development (e.g. Sourcing Kaizens, support of VA/VE programs, Supplier Innovation events, etc.) 

• Accountable for supporting both value analysis / value engineering (VA/VE), new product development (NPD), and product manufacturing localization initiatives as it relates to supplier goods & services.

• Develops, implements and reviews global sourcing and supplier management work processes.

• Develops category (commodity) strategy plans for top direct spend categories.  Maintains and adjusts plans regularly considering the changing market forces, inflation/deflation pressures, and geopolitical impacts.

• Achieves low-cost country sourcing targets.

• Directs supplier development team to ensure proper supplier segmentation and maintenance of performance scorecards for key suppliers.  Meets with these suppliers for continuous improvement performance feedback, executive relationships and strategy collaboration discussions.  May resolve escalated supplier performance issues.

• Participates in a leading function for annual inflation forecast for Celeros FT products.

• Owns accountability through the function for supplier selections, negotiations, and contract administration for enterprise spend agreements.

• Identifies supply chain risks and developing / executing mitigation strategies
