About the Role
The Senior Director of Finance is responsible for internal management reporting, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting. This person will be a valued leader of the Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) team and will interact with multiple departments internally, including a high degree of visibility and coordination with Alto’s Senior Leadership team. - Manage relationships with senior leaders within the business line, becoming their business partner and providing key decision support.
- Manage monthly reporting and forecasting work streams across the finance organization
- Develop and oversee business unit financial reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost benefit analysis and other ad hoc analyses.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the financial performance of business units and how they contribute to the overall performance of the company.
- Perform frequent ad-hoc analyses for senior management to assist in strategic decision making for the company.
- Lead R&O reviews with Alto’s senior leadership team and special projects and initiatives to improve current financial processes.
- Excel in a team-oriented, collaborative environment while demonstrating ownership and accountability for assigned areas.
- Provide direction, leadership, and coaching to analysts to develop a high-performing team.
A Bit About You
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Math, or similar applicable field of study; MBA preferred
- At least 10+ years’ experience working in a high‐volume environment involving the use of advanced spreadsheet functions, databases, reporting, accounting, dataflow automation, and modeling tools
- Thorough understanding of financial statements and a passion for surfacing insights to accelerate performance to financial targets
- Strong analytical background and critical thinking skills
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders with verbal and written communication
- Five years or more leading teams, applying organizational management skills, to prioritize, delegate, and deliver against multiple business-critical tasks through your team.
- Advanced user of Excel to build and maintain complex models
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the healthcare, pharmacy, retail, and/or supply chain industries
- Experience in a startup and/or operations-heavy, tech-enabled environment, ideally having developed a team across multiple locations
- Proficient user of SQL
