Assistant-Administrative Surgery Scheduling

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Department: Plastic Surgery
This role provides primary support for the Plastic Surgery department and a surgeon whose practice includes general plastics, breast reconstruction, and gender affirmation procedures at the Fishers clinic. Weekly travel to the Fishers location is required. Position may become hybrid after successful completion of training.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, therapy services, and other medical appointments accurately and in a timely manner.
Obtain and manage related documentation, including patient information and insurance coverage.
Coordinate scheduling with other departments and facilities to ensure optimal patient care.
Maintain records related to CPT coding and perform various clerical and administrative duties.
Ensure timely receipt and compliance of written orders as part of quality assurance.
Provide administrative and technical support to leaders and teams, including:
Managing calendars and schedules
Coordinating meetings and travel arrangements
Processing invoices
Handling inquiries and resolving basic administrative issues
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (required)
0–3+ years of relevant experience; prior administrative experience (preferred)
Experience in a matrix organization or complex work environment (a plus)
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) (required)
