Associate Director, Transparency Reporting Lead

The Role:

Join us as a Transparency Reporting Lead at Moderna, where you'll be at the forefront of driving transparency and compliance in a dynamic and rapidly growing organization. This role is pivotal in enhancing, maintaining, and continuously improving Moderna’s global transparency reporting processes and platform. You'll be instrumental in setting up a unified system to ensure compliant reporting of transfers of value and interactions with healthcare providers and other reportable recipients globally. Leveraging technology, automation, and AI, you'll deliver operational efficiencies and foster a culture of data-driven decisions.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

• Transparency Reporting and Integration

  • Implement a global integrated system for reporting transfers of value, becoming a catalyst for data-driven decision making.

  • Develop and implement operational execution of global transparency reporting, including US Federal Sunshine Act, US state law, and other international reporting requirements.

  • Harness the power of automation, technology, and AI to effect operational efficiencies in transparency reporting.

• Stakeholder Engagement and Process Development

  • Collaborate with Moderna members across the globe, fostering strong relationships and building functional capabilities.

  • Create and maintain documentation for new and existing transparency processes; ensure all data sources are documented.

  • Develop, update and monitor adherence to transparency operations procedures, ensuring best practices at every step.

  • Map upstream/source data processes to review for opportunities and improvement related to transparency data capture.

  • Design and execute transparency reporting communication and training plans

  • Provide day-to-day oversight, direction, and collaboration with the Transparency platform vendors and managed resources

• Risk Management and Compliance

  • Establish and maintain processes and systems to review, approve, and document consultancy and other contractual arrangements with healthcare professionals and other healthcare stakeholders.

  • Enhance and integrate objective Fair Market Value calculation mechanisms.

• Data Quality Assurance

  • Work with Digital teams to ensure data capture from source systems is complete and accurate through routine and consistent data reconciliation.

  • Monitor and proactively identify and address potential gaps or risk areas related to data quality and compliance regulations, guidelines, and trends.

  • Identify process gaps and work with key stakeholders on corrective measures.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications):

• BA/BS

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in transparency operational and reporting roles.

• Proven experience with evaluating and mitigating the risk regarding industry engagements with healthcare professionals.

• Working knowledge of major business processes and compliance requirements related to the bio-pharmaceutical industry.

• Strong organizational, communication and project management skills to manage multiple responsibilities and stakeholders.

• Ability to prioritize and direct limited resources to the most critical areas and issues; build solid, collaborative working relationships across multiple functions; and drive improvement initiatives with a sense of urgency.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and build new capabilities.

• Proficiency digital technologies.

• Expertise in global transparency requirements

• Advanced degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Data Science, or Regulatory Affairs.

• Experience with global healthcare compliance in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.

• Global project management experience
