The Role:
Entegris is seeking a highly motivated Senior Production Planner to join our team in Bedford, MA. If hired in this role, you will support complex manufacturing lines and deploy activities related to lean manufacturing / continuous improvement in the company’s Electrostatic Chucks group.
What You'll Do:
- Build out and maintain the supply chain fundamental processes, master data, and ERP settings through each step of the product phase gate process
- Collect, monitor and analyze supply chain data including planning, scheduling, sourcing, warehousing, production, and delivery to create an evergreen achievable supply plan
- Create and maintain a valid monthly capacity requirements plan in accordance with the S&OP process; recommend changes to this process as needed
- Create, maintain, and verify the production schedule
- Interface with marketing, sales, operations, quality and engineering to resolve labor, equipment and material shortages, backlogs, competing priorities, and other issues impacting the production schedule
- Collaborate with procurement and inventory management to ensure all materials in support of early prototype builds, product development builds, pilot builds, and mass production builds are available to support the production plan
- Develop scheduling methodology utilizing ERP tools that delivers a stable schedule while still delivering agility when & where needed to support customer requirements
- Maintain and initiate changes to parameters in the Material Master that influence accurate and optimized MRP signals. (MRP Type, Lead times, SMKs, SPKs, MOQ, Lot size/settings, etc.);
- Lead cross-functional meetings to troubleshoot material flow and scheduling issues utilizing data
- Communicate scheduling exceptions to Management, Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain
- Adhere to defined Planning and Scheduling business processes, including planning cycle, exception message management, and time horizons
- Ensure planning process and transactional execution that upholds inventory accuracy/integrity throughout the manufacturing process end-to-end
- Compile and report schedule adherence and OTS metrics and drive detection of root cause and corrective action
- Participate in continuous improvement of Planning and Control systems
What We Seek:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, etc. ) or a combination of education and equivalent experience
- 5-8 years production planning experience in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Understanding of basic project management fundamentals to drive organizational alignment (Gantt charts, project charters, and statement of work)
- Understanding of the basic principles and operations of ERP systems and the integration of company functions provided by an ERP system
- Capability to discuss the role of the Material Master parameters and Bill of Materials in ERP
- Knowledge of planning utilizing and managing exception messages to maintain a valid supply plan
- Understanding of basic operations fundamentals to drive organizational alignment (critical path, resource modeling, theory of constraints)
- Basic knowledge of capacity requirements planning (CRP)
- Ability to quickly extract and perform data analysis in SAP and Excel to enable data-driven decision-making
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment under time constraints
- Ability to effectively lead and facilitate meetings with cross-functional teams
- Understanding and reviewing Work Center, Routing and Bill of Material parameters influencing accurate and optimized MRP signals.
