As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you’ll play a key role in supporting safe, accurate medication delivery for our pediatric patients — with full training, growth opportunities, and a supportive team that wants you to succeed.

Schedule: 6:00am to 2:30pm or 2:00pm–10:30pm.
Shift differential pay — evening shifts are eligible for shift differential.
Full training provided — including non-sterile and sterile compounding and cleanroom competency.
Hospital experience not required.

What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll support pharmacists and clinical teams to ensure every child receives the safest, most accurate medication therapy. Daily responsibilities include:
Preparing, dispensing, and delivering medications to inpatient units.
Stocking and managing automated dispensing cabinets.
Compounding sterile and non‑sterile products (training provided).
Assisting with STAT and batch medication preparation.
Managing medication inventory and supplies.
Providing excellent customer service to care teams.
Using pharmacy computer systems and technology for safe medication distribution.

Qualifications
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA is required in order to be considered.
Currently licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in Tennessee.
Open to candidates with less than 1 year of experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
- Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
- Performs activities as directed by Pharmacists &/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with federal, state and local laws/regulations and hospital policies.
- Delivers outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.

Technical Capabilities:
- Pharmaceutical Computer Literacy (Fundamental Awareness): Has demonstrated a basic understanding of computers or has successfully completed training for applications that are used to support medication use processes.
- Pharmaceutical Drug Preparation, Dispensing & Distribution (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully review, prepare, dispense and distribute prescribed medications. Where applicable, this includes being proficient in the general principles and techniques of asepsis utilized to compound sterile preparations (CSPs) to minimize the risk of contamination.
- Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance & Compliance (Novice): Demonstrates working knowledge of the appropriate rules and regulations as they apply to the department and work areas. Maintains current understanding of rules
