Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced and motivated professional for the role of a Senior Principal Contract Administrator (A04) with experience in contract administration or related fields, including business management, supply chain management, business development, project management, or procurement. The candidate hired will be based out of our office in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, and will be expected to work a hybrid work schedule—full time remote is not an option.

What You’ll Get to Do:

Responsibilities:

  • Propose, negotiate, administer, extend, and close standard and non-standard contracts.

  • Provide advice to management of contractual rights and obligations, compile and analyze data, and maintain historical information.

  • Be self-motivated and have the ability to handle urgent situations from Northrop Grumman leadership and foreign and US government contracting officials.

  • Participate in proposal preparation and negotiations (review, analysis, interpretation, and contractual advice on terms and conditions), review and approve contractual documentation to protect the company, and provide for proper contract administration and closeout in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract.

  • Provide contractual advice in accordance with company policies and procedures, and interface with both internal and external customers to ensure proper contract execution.

  • Ensure timely and compliant deliverables for all contracts supported.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years previous experience in contracts, subcontracts, finance, or other business management-related function; or a Master's degree or J.D. with a minimum of 6 years previous experience in contracts, subcontracts, finance, or other business management-related function.  

  • Knowledge of the international contracting environment with direct experience working with international terms and conditions.

  • Knowledge of the government contracting environment with direct experience working with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).

  • Demonstrated experience with multiple contracting formats, including Fixed Price and/or Cost-Reimbursement contracts.

  • Familiarity with terms and conditions and/or special contract clauses such as intellectual property/data rights and payment terms.

  • U.S. citizen.

  • Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance.

  • Experience in client facing and executive engagement.

  • Experience with daily use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and other PC programs and software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent experience as a Contract Administrator in the defense industry or international contracting field, particularly with the United Kingdom negotiating and/or administering sustainment contracts.
