Commercial Manager - Hutchinson, KS

Essential Job Functions:

  • Understand and practice the "ADM Way".
  • Be a leader and an example in all areas of the business.
  • Embrace, practice and promote a safety culture and support all safety programs.
  • Take responsibility for the training of employees in the areas of safety and operations.
  • Keep location compliant in all areas, including OSHA training, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and Bio-Terrorism traceability.
  • Be responsive in addressing audit topics in a timely manner and prevent repeats.
  • Be proficient in the accounting system and be able to access producers accounts and make settlements when necessary.
  • Follow financial practices that maximize the location's profitability.
  • Effectively manage the employee group relative to following policies and practices.
  • Interact with the employee group in such a way as to inspire confidence and direction.
  • Give each employee a clear understanding of their role and responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain employee evaluations and review them with all employees annually.
  • Maintain product quality and minimize expenses due to excessive shrink, spoilage and discounts
  • Communicate openly and frequently with the supervisory and employee groups.
  • Be informed relative to grain markets, contracts and promote the producer origination programs.
  • Take responsibility for the appearance, condition and functionality of the location's assets.
  • Provide information relative to the location/hub to the supervisory group so that sound business decisions can be made.

Technical Competencies:

  • Know proper protocol for sampling and grading of grain.
  • Have knowledge of aeration requirements, grain handling and quality maintenance/recovery.
  • Have the ability to operate various power/industrial equipment.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$120,800.00 - $226,600.00
