THE ROLE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintaining the cleanliness of the outside grounds including parking lots, the turn around, boardwalk extension, dunes, flower beds and Wildwoods Sign area.
• Handling debris and trash removal.
• Power washing as needed.
• Limited landscaping - includes weeding.
• Assisting in the cleanliness and professional appearance of all outside common areas and amenities as needed.  Maintenance standards include awareness of the physical conditions of company-related properties and relaying any corrective actions to the Director of Operations that need to be applied.
• Operation of landscaping and snow removal equipment as needed.
• Work with housekeeping and maintenance staff as needed.
• Plan for inclement weather and oversee the removal of snow and treating grounds accordingly.

• Must have previous grounds keeping or landscaping experience. 
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to work as part of a team and independently on projects. 
• Demonstrated customer service skills and professionalism in working with all employees, vendors and guests. 
• Position requires availability to work any shift as needed, including holidays, weekends and evenings, and report to work in emergency situations.
• Observation of all safety and sanitation rules when performing job duties is mandatory.  
• Candidate will be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and possess the ability to complete tasks on a timely basis and follow directions.

Education and/or Experience          

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two (2) years of landscaping/grounds keeping experience.
• Valid Driver’s License. (Ability to Operate Machinery)
• Possess a strong working knowledge of facility housekeeping standards and practices as well as public assembly facility set-up requirements.
• Possess a strong attention to detail and the ability and initiative to maintain the building’s grounds as a first-class facility.

Skills and Abilities  

• Good organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to prioritize tasks to maximize efficiency of Operations team.
• Able to work independently to complete planned tasks.
• Must have professional attitude and appearance.
• Must be able to lift to 50lbs. consistently.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have some knowledge of computers and electronics.
