Senior UX Designer

Location:  Canada (Remote/Office)

 

Position Summary:

 

As a Senior UX Designer, you play a vital role in helping Bentley create better experiences for our users. You will lead the design effort on various projects in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment – specifically on Bentley’s Digital Experience team. Your role is to design innovative and practical solutions to real-world user problems in the context of established user-centered design processes. You will work closely with team management, product management, users, subject matter experts, and software engineers to develop – and improve – experiences across many user touchpoints. 

 

Your Day-to-Day:

• Communicate with both internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and manage the scope in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
• Contribute to user research through user interviews, site visits, defining contextually relevant data programs, and other proven methods.
• Translate user research findings into insights and design improvement in order to build a deeper understanding of our users while delivering solutions that improve their ability to solve humanities most complex infrastructure challenges.
• Deliver designs that align with our design system – while driving additions and changes to the design system when needed.
• Lead UX engagement on major projects.

 

What You Bring to The Team:

• A professional portfolio displaying skills, with particular emphasis on problem-solving.
• Great command of Figma.
• Proficiency in rapid and high-fidelity prototyping. 
• Visual design skills and an eye for detail. 
• Fluency in both written and spoken English. 
• A champion for design and strong user advocacy.
• 5+ years’ experience as a UX designer with a focus on digital experiences – preferably SaaS or technology-focused companies.

 

Additional points for:

• Familiarity with technical constraints as they apply to designing for different platforms.
• Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, User Experience, or related field.
• A love of mentoring and UX education.
• Familiarity with infrastructure field
