About the Job
LiveIntent is looking for a talented and motivated Financial Analyst to join our growing Finance team! You will be responsible for analyzing the company's financials to ensure accurate reporting and enable educated decision-making, budget control, and ongoing monitoring. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to provide financial insights into key decisions based on LiveIntent’s financial analysis and performance. The ideal candidate has keen Excel and analytical skills, strong financial and business acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fun but results-oriented work environment.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for internal reporting purposes. Generate monthly variance analyses for revenue and expense actuals vs. budget. Investigate and explain key variances, trends, and drivers. Review accounting transactions for data accuracy
- Coordinate with the VP Finance and CFO on long-term financial planning for revenue and expenses. Identify and track key performance metrics pertaining to market growth, competitors, benchmarking, etc.
- Support the annual budget design process by gathering/validating budget asks from department leaders, assisting in monthly expense reporting for senior leaders to understand actual costs vs budget, and compiling data to analyze specific expenses for budget and trend analyses
- Analyze and report on current financial status and conduct thorough research of historical financial data. Explore investment options and present risk and opportunities
- Develop and maintain reporting processes, procedures and documentation and internal controls over financial reporting
- Assist Senior Management with special projects to support strategic decision-making (e.g., “what if" strategic analysis, global business forecasting, new product P&L projections)
- Provide ongoing financial support to different teams in the company and decision making analysis for projects, customer transactions, and other initiatives
Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent (Business, Finance, Economics, or Math background is a plus)
- A minimum of 2 years related experience in finance, banking, or management consulting
- Advanced MS Office proficiency with focus on Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to analyze data sets, draw conclusions and provide clear and concise guidance to internal stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills, extremely diligent and reliable with exceptional attention to detail
- Enthusiastic with a hands-on attitude; able to work with a team effectively and build relationships across the organization
- Experience with any of the following: Netsuite, Salesforce, Looker, or SQL
