This is professional and moderately complex technical work analyzing, designing, implementing and maintaining departmental automated/computerized systems.Positions allocated to this classification report to a designated supervisor and work under limited supervision. Work in this class is distinguished by its advanced technical and operational skills.
This position is responsible for supporting the overall operation of GRU’s OMS/ADMS system responsible for monitoring and controlling the electrical grid outages. Support includes troubleshooting of data issues, database updating, and day-to-day maintenance of the OMS/ADMS system. Support will include the day-to-day needs of Control Center Operations and other end users. It is a requirement that supporting the OMS/ADMS real-time operations will include off hours support as part of an on-call rotation. The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and teamwork.
Coordinate with EMS (Energy Management System) and OMS (Outage Management System) personnel to update the ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) on a weekly basis.
Administer the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), including training, technical and functional support. Maintain the distribution model.
Provide day-to-day OMS/ADMS support by effectively responding to the needs of control room operating staff, field personnel, and other end users.
Application monitoring and support for the OMS/ADMS environment.
Actively participate in support and troubleshooting problems in all aspects of the OMS/ADMS system, and specifically data quality issues including:
- Data quality and consistency issues for the near real-time updating of OMS/ADMS.- Data mapping between the existing EMS environment and the D-OMS/ADMS system.
- Data mapping between the DOMS/ADMS system and the ADMS/OMS environment.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Below are the required education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions.
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or other technical discipline
Three or more years of prior experience with EMS/OMS/ADMS systems in a transmission or distribution utility setting
Experienced in the implementation and maintenance of large-scale OMS/ADMS systems running on a major vendor platform: OSII, GE, ABB, AVEVA (Schneider), Siemens, etc...
