What You'll Be Doing
Job Scope: Responsible for performing or providing oversight into all aspects of loss prevention, risk management and safety activities. This work will be performed independently but with general guidelines from the Corporate Safety Leader.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Providing HSE guidance and support to multiple offices and onsite teams
Development and promotion of continued relationships with office leadership and clients
Identifying needs and developing/managing HSE/Loss Prevention Policies and processes for the Company
Identifying areas of potential loss and developing strategies for prevention and protecting company assets
Identifying/developing/delivering HSE training online and face-to-face
Reviewing agreements and qualification requirements for subcontractors and clients to ensure that unnecessary risk is not invited to Hargrove
Working with project management on field construction efforts, design phase services and all subcontracting as well as participating in all major technical, cost, scheduling and performance decisions and provision of qualified Field Safety Managers for CM projects as necessary.
Recognizing and communicating scope and design changes promptly.
Working with project management and other onsite teams to incorporate HSE considerations during and throughout design, construction and operational efforts.
Providing on-site assistance during startup and construction coverage as needed.
Coordinating work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.
Ideal Background
Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Public Health and Safety or Industrial Hygiene (MSPH) from an accredited university is preferred.
Certification: Certification in Industrial Hygiene (CIH) or Safety (CSP) is required
Experience: This position requires 10 or more years of relevant heavy industrial and/or construction safety, risk management and management experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
Extreme attention to detail
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and ANSI standards and other Loss Prevention best practices
Working knowledge of Industrial Hygiene & Safety principles and practices.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and/or projects efficiently
Ability to lead a team to deliver on commitments
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
