Welcome to WellPsyche Medical Group! WellPsyche is a best-in-class telehealth organization providing outpatient mental health services to children, teens, and adults via Zoom. We are a fully remote medical practice working collaboratively together to help our patients become the best version of themselves.
We seek a Patient Support/Scheduling Coordinator to work part-time from 12:00 pm-4:30 pm or 2:00pm to 6:30 pm Pacific Time during the work week. This role will require working at least every other Saturday for a 4 or 8 hour shift.
Patient Support Coordinators play a vital role in helping patients feel comfortable when they are enrolling as New Patients. It may take patients years before committing to get the care that will change their life, and our Patient Support Coordinators are there to help them feel comfortable, secure, and confident in their decision.
Patient Support Coordinators support patients over the telephone, SMS messaging, email and through our custom online patient portal with scheduling appointments, technical support for the patient portal or connecting to their appointments, verifying insurance coverages for services, and other questions or concerns.
The role also plays an important part in supporting our Psychiatrists and Therapists in managing day to day tasks so that they can focus on providing patients with excellent care. This includes schedule oversight, communicating with patients on follow up items, and ensuring providers have the administrative support they need.

Key Responsibilities
• Review and process new patient enrollment requests with a sharp eye for details to ensure accuracy. Must have outstanding listening and problem solving skills to accurately match patients with an eligible provider.• Verify Patient benefits information through online health plan portals or by phoning in requests.
• Handle inbound and outbound communications with patients and referral sources for scheduling and providing information on our medical group. • Schedule appointments accurately and consistently for patients.• Conduct outbound calls to schedule follow-up appointments and complete patient support cases• Work as a liaison between Patients and Providers to facilitate timely exchange of information needed for patient care. • Must be very comfortable and confident in using the telephone for inbound and outbound calls as our primary form of communication to patients
What we seek from you
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- One year experience in a patient services, call center, customer service or related role in a healthcare company, required
- Experience resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone, highly desired.
- Healthcare work experience and familiarity with insurance, prescriptions, medical terminology and similar healthcare functions.
- Experience with software applications like Google Suite, instant messaging programs like Slack, and email applications, specifically Gmail, Zoom, and/or Salesforce, preferred.
- Computer keyboarding skills and aptitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and use critical thinking skills to find solutions for patients or complete complex assignments.
- Must have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Must be an outstanding teammate and care about the success of the team, the company and the patient’s well being.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain composure when confronted by difficult situations and to respond professionally, especially in patient clinical crisis situations.
