We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team in Prague and support a major project in the banking sector. This particular role is ideal for someone with a strong background in building data solutions on Azure and collaborative mindset. As the position involves daily communication with local team, fluency in Czech or Slovak is essential.

This is you

• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric.
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation tasks.
• Experience transferring data between on-premise database systems and Azure services.
• Practical knowledge of Azure Functions
• Experience with data ingestion or migration from Event Hub to Data Lake Storage / Blob Storage.
• Understanding and experience working with Kafka Topics.
• Native czech/slovak speaker with intermediate level of english knowledge

Nice-to-have skills:

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in Azure (an advantage).

This is your role

• Design, build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop and manage data integrations between on-premise databases and Azure cloud services.
• Implement automation and data processing logic using Azure Functions.
• Handle end-to-end data migrations from Event Hub to Data Lake Storage / Blob Storage.
• Work with Kafka Topics to integrate and process streaming data.
• Collaborate with the team to improve and support CI/CD practices across Azure-based data projects.
• Troubleshoot data pipelines, optimize performance and ensure reliability of delivered solutions.
