Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager in support of Test Equipment Engineering, Repair & Maintenance, and Metrology located in Heath, OH

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical management and leadership to team responsible for the repair, maintenance, and calibration of BGRC site wide test equipment.
  • Assures adherence to metrology and test equipment calibration, maintenance, and repair standards.
  • Develops and maintains site wide functional and program partnerships to ensure overall site success.
  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines.
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees and first-level managers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Experience leading or managing large or complex teams of managers and or non-management employees.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in test and evaluation and/or metrology.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in performance of calibrations, trouble shooting, and repair of measurement and test equipment including RF and microwave measurement test equipment.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Prior experience working within an engineering, metrology and test equipment maintenance, and certification environment.
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance.
