Job Description

Main Objective of the Job:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain features using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and SQL (Oracle).
• Translate business requirements into functional, well-documented, and maintainable code.
• Conduct thorough testing (unit, integration, etc.) and participate in code reviews to ensure high quality.
• Maintain and improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of existing systems.
• Deploy updates and releases for developed web applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in Java development and software engineering.
• Contribute to operational tasks, including server administration, monitoring, and deployments.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• +3 years of experience and solid understanding of Java development, including object-oriented principles.
• Strong proficiency in Spring/Spring Boot framework.
• Experience designing and documenting RESTful APIs using the OpenAPI Specification (Swagger)
• Experience with SQL databases (preferably Oracle).
• Proficiency with Git version control (GitHub preferred).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• English B2/C1

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Vaadin or similar Java-based UI frameworks.
• Familiarity with Linux server administration.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline setup.
