Job Description
As an Internal Communications intern, you will be a member of the Strategic Product and Platform Operations team supporting the Chief Operating Officer in driving a strategic priority to strengthen the product management community through a career development program called PMx360. Through this multifaceted experience you will gain a strategic understanding of ServiceNow’s business across its full product suite and have an opportunity to gain exposure to a broad set of leaders across ServiceNow.
You will provide support to the team's success by developing and driving our effective internal communications strategies, plans, and results that drive employee engagement and adoption with the right message, at the right time, through the right channels.
What You Get to Do in This Role:- Research, write, and publish creative content and articles for internal vehicles -- including emails, newsletters, video scripts, presentations, social media posts, event invitations, print collateral, swag, etc.
- Partner with program managers in driving media/marketing plans to build awareness of the PMx360 brand, related programs, and events among target audiences.
- Support team members with other communications-related projects, including building and updating calendars, developing presentation materials, proofreading, and editing copy, and trafficking requests as needed.
- Maintain, analyze, and share metrics for all program communication and marketing efforts and continuously seek to improve.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Masters degree in communications, journalism, public relations and/or marketing.
- Graduating December 2023 or later.
- Able to participate in a 12-week summer intern program
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) as well as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint).
- Customer-centric with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and possess a keen eye for detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and partners – visually, verbally, and in writing.
- Strong grammar skills with copy editing / proofreading experience.
- Knowledge and proficiency with communications channels including digital tools (intranets, Web initiatives, social media, etc.).
- Naturally curious and passionate about employee communications/ engagement and simplifying complexity – with a keen awareness of evolving tools, technologies, resources, and trends that resonate with a diverse global audience.
- Resourceful, ambitious thinker able to adopt creative approaches and tackle business challenges while being a phenomenal teammate and collaborator.
- Storyteller with an inherent ability of making sophisticated topics simple yet intuitive in compelling and novel ways.
- Confident in securing partnership from others at all levels.
- Problem-solver with an innovative attitude and a data-driven approach.
