Summer 2024 Recruitment Timeline:   

November 13 – December 8: Applications Open (may close early due to applicant volume)  

Mid November – Late December: First round video interviews   

Mid – Late January: Second round interviews  

Late January – February: Selected candidates receive offers  

Job Description

Summer 2024 Internship Program: 

  • Applications Close: December 8th at 11:59pm ET. Pro Tip: Submit your application as soon as possible – applications could close earlier due to applicant volume!  
  • Program Dates: June 3 – August 9, 2024 
  • Time Commitment: 40 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.  
  • Format: Opportunities listed will be fully virtual.

The Entertainment Group develops and schedules the network’s primetime, late-night, and daytime entertainment programming, including USA, SYFY, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, and Universal Kids. NBC’s quality programs and balanced line-up have earned the network critical acclaim, numerous awards and ratings success, including most recently winning the traditional September-to-May season in primetime’s key demo, marking the network’s third win in four years. NBC has earned more Emmy Awards than any network in television history.     

 

Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to: 
  

  • Campaign Project Management: Assist Production Assistants and SYFY/Oxygen teams with various on-air and off-air projects, Monthly Music Reporting for all on-air deliverables for USA and SYFY shows, organize and manage show assets and deliverables via Dropbox, organize production trackers in Airtable, assist Press leads with creating screeners, pulling press clips and/or images for broadcast appearances and/or article features for USA/Universal Kids shows, pitch and edit promotional content for on-air and off-air for Oxygen and SYFY shows, and regulate and arrange asset logs - watching and sorting through Oxygen/SYFY footage  
  • Entertainment Digital, Oxygen & SYFY: The Audience Acquisition & Growth team is looking for a Media Ops intern who is driven in media production across multiple disciplines. Media Ops is a cross-functional, crossbrand team that creates and publishes digital content, ranging from short form video to branded games and apps. The team also oversees the development and QA of the brand sites with the objective of using data to grow and engage fans. The intern will be working alongside several teams throughout the brands and will be exposed to content production as well as technical production 
  • Post Production Operations: The Post Operations team partners with team members across the Creative Marketing, Engineering, Technology, Digital and Social teams. This arm of our team helps innovate, align and improve efficiencies for all post production workflow across the ELG Marketing Supply Chain.
