The UCLA Senior, Cognitive, and Affective Neurodevelopment (SCAN) Laboratory within the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to support innovative research examining sensory processing and neurodevelopment in individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This position offers hands-on experience in clinical research, neuroimaging, behavioral assessments, and data analysis. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with participant recruitment, screening, scheduling, and study visits
  • Support implementation of research protocols and maintain study documentation
  • Collect, manage, and process neuroimaging, behavioral, psychophysiological, and questionnaire-based data
  • Assist with MRI participant preparation and data acquisition
  • Support data cleaning, quality control, database management, and analysis
  • Assist with study reports, presentations, manuscripts, and grant-related analysis
  • Maintain IRB and regulatory documentation and support general laboratory operations
The department's typical operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-6pm. Staff may occasionally be scheduled during evenings or weekend hours based on research participants needs. Employees should expect to work approximately 2-3 weekends per month, with weekday schedules adjusted to maintain a 40-hour workweek.

Salary range: $30.12/hr - $35.92/hr
