The UCLA Senior, Cognitive, and Affective Neurodevelopment (SCAN) Laboratory within the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to support innovative research examining sensory processing and neurodevelopment in individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This position offers hands-on experience in clinical research, neuroimaging, behavioral assessments, and data analysis. Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with participant recruitment, screening, scheduling, and study visits
- Support implementation of research protocols and maintain study documentation
- Collect, manage, and process neuroimaging, behavioral, psychophysiological, and questionnaire-based data
- Assist with MRI participant preparation and data acquisition
- Support data cleaning, quality control, database management, and analysis
- Assist with study reports, presentations, manuscripts, and grant-related analysis
- Maintain IRB and regulatory documentation and support general laboratory operations
