Here at Lakeside Foods, our Field Maintenance team is the backbone of our field operations, ensuring proper operation of the agriculture department. The Agricultural Field Maintenance Technician Intern will perform a variety of day-to-day tasks with the Agriculture Department. What You’ll Do:
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of agricultural equipment and machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
- Repair or replace damaged or worn parts.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and machinery.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Report all injuries to the Field Superintendent.
- Assist with training in the safe, proper, and efficient operation of field equipment.
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.
- May perform other duties as assigned by the Agriculture Managers and Supervisors.
- Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures.
- Notify management immediately if any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions are discovered.
What You’ll Bring:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Agricultural experience/knowledge.
- Currently enrolled in an agricultural or mechanical engineering program.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
