Our purpose is simple - to deliver a sustainable future for the world through science and collaboration.</span></span><span><span> </span></span><span><span>If you’re looking for a challenge and meaningful role, you’re in the right place.</span></span><span><span> </span></span></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>About you and this role </b></p><p><span><span><span>Dow has an exciting opportunity as <b>Senior Improvement Engineer </b>located in Terneuzen, The Netherlands.</span></span></span></p><p><span><span> </span></span></p><p><span><span><span>The <b>Senior Improvement Engineer </b>will work on several projects that are mostly related to the energy business and will act as a manufacturing representative in several small and intermediate projects, but also on potential large project opportunities.</span></span></span></p><p><span><span> </span></span></p><p><span><span><span><b>Responsibilities </b></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><u>Senior Improvement Engineer</u></span></span></span></p><ul><li><span><span><span>Leads the continuous improvement work process to develop and implement Plant Specific Technology Plans in alignment with the Global Technology Plan including data collection, gap analysis, idea generation, prioritization, improvement project implementation, and review of results.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Leads the prioritization and implementation of all plant improvement opportunities for the energy business in Terneuzen.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Articulates business cases for capital and non-capital opportunities together with the Energy triangle team and collaborating with Finance.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Partners with the Plant and Operations leaders to solicit and collect ideas, describe opportunities, coordinates engineering support and implement projects.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Interfaces with the business and participating in business plan technology development.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Meets global business goals through optimization of the process technology, implementation of improvement projects and implementation of Most Effective Technology (MET). Next to that works with the technology center to set priorities for MET definition needs.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Is part of the on-call team for the P&U in Terneuzen</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Project implementation represents most of the expected workload for this role. As Senior Improvement Engineer you fulfill your role as specified in Dow Global Project Methodology (GPM), in most cases as Manufacturing Representative, with additional growth opportunities as experience is gained to lead projects less than $2 MM as Project Manager. </span></span></span></li></ul><p><span><span> </span></span></p><p><span><span><span><u>Manufacturing Representative</u></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span>Plans, directs, and leads the efforts of the project team using GPM and Manufacturing Representative Work Process Discipline to ensure that the project objectives are met while also providing for the following:</span></span></span></p><ul><li><span><span><span>Review the complete design and construction of the project to ensure that the facilities and equipment designed and built according to plans.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Implementation of Most Effective Technology (MET), or other suitable process technology, as supported by the Global Technology Center.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Safe and effective start-up and operation of projects.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Implementation of the correct operating discipline.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Ensures validation of project performance objectives after implementation Problem solving g/troubleshooting ability.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Training of staff and operations as required for safe and effective operation.</span></span></span></li></ul><p><span><span> </span></span></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><span><span><span>Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Fluency in English.</span></span></span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span><span><span>Preferred qualifications </span></span></span></b><span><span
