About the Role

Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. We’re looking for a Senior Strategic Finance Analyst, R&D to join our growing FP&A team. This role requires a well-rounded individual who has demonstrated the ability to deliver results in a high-growth, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. You are versatile, analytical, motivated, creative, intellectually curious, a strong communicator and collaborator. In this role, you will drive value and empower decision making through data, reporting, and analyses that impact Fivetran’s success as a company.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our Oakland or Denver offices.

What You'll Do

• Act as a strategic partner to R&D and Finance leadership, providing insights and recommendations for optimizing investment and driving long-term growth.
• Enhance forecast accuracy and reliability for R&D expenses.
• Lead variance analyses during financial closes to provide actionable insights.
• Develop and streamline processes to scale systems and support business growth.
• Serve as a liaison between finance, accounting, and R&D operations to enhance and automate financial processes.

Skills We're Looking For

• 2-6 years of experience in finance, public accounting, or investment banking; familiarity with SaaS preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets; ability to manage large datasets and driver-based models.
• Curiosity to learn and solve problems independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

This range represents base salary only and does not include incentive for sales roles, equity, or  benefits, if applicable. 

Pay Range$108,277.38—$129,938.05 USD
