About the job

The Head of Supply Chain plays a pivotal role in defining and driving the execution of the ensuring supply strategy for the Consumer.

Healthcare (CHC) business, both in the short and long term horizons, for maximum customer satisfaction.  The role involves strategic planning, coordination, and optimization of all supply chain activities, from understanding customer demand, to ensuring correct demand signals are sent to the production sites, and efficient and cost effective warehousing and distribution of CHC products.  

He/She is accountable for a robust, stable and sustainable Integrated Business Planning process aligning business and operations with the growth ambition, a Customer Care function effectively carrying out the order to cash process and delivering excellent customer experience, and an efficient Warehousing and Distribution operations enabling on time in full deliveries to our customers. 

In addition, the role includes overseeing the development and management of the supply chain budget, reviewing and optimizing supply chain performance with the appropriate quality, cost, and service metrics, and driving continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.

The Head of Supply Chain must possess strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills, excellent problem solving and decision making abilities, and a deep understanding of strategic and operational supply chain management.  The ideal candidate is an accomplished senior leader with experience working in FMCG or consumer goods companies, a proven track record in developing and leading talented and innovative teams, a strong customer care orientation, and with prior experience in manufacturing and supply.

Main responsibilities:

• Develop and ensure the timely execution of the overall supply chain strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.  This includes setting the appropriate performance metrics and targets for supply chain operations.  
• Champion the implementation of a robust, stable and sustainable IBP process that is well aligned transversally end to end, and effectively driving business and operations decisions. 
• Oversee inventory levels and develop inventory management strategies.  This includes optimizing inventory turnover, minimizing stockouts, and reducing excess inventory. 
• Ensure a streamlined and compliant order to cash process to serve customers faster and more effectively, minimize errors and delays, and ensure performance data has maximum impact on the company.
• Establish a warehousing and distribution footprint fully supporting business and operations requirements to ensure efficient movement of goods and on time in full deliveries to our customers.
• Manage relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the delivery of goods and services at the agreed time, quality and quantity. This involves developing strategies to evaluate vendors, monitoring performance and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve supply chain processes. This includes implementing lean principles, leveraging technology and automation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Assess and mitigate risks within the supply chain, such as disruptions in supply, natural disasters, or geopolitical factors. This involves developing contingency plans, diversifying suppliers, and implementing risk mitigation strategies. 
• Identify and implement supply chain technologies and systems to enhance visibility, automation, and efficiency. Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in supply chain management and leverage technology advancements where appropriate. 
• Develop and lead a high-performing supply chain team. This includes hiring and developing talent, providing guidance and support, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, facilities, project management, engineering, scientific, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and integration of supply chain activities with overall business strategies. 
• Integrate sustainable practices and ethical considerations into the supply chain. This includes implementing environmentally friendly initiatives, promoting fair labor practices, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
