Drives revenue by prospecting and onboarding new businesses, while acting as a trusted advisor to assigned partners and developing clear retention and growth plans. Builds strong relationships, generates quality commercial and consumer referrals, and delivers high-quality service in all member interactions. Represents FMFCU at networking events, actively participates in community organizations, and continuously enhances market expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Drives revenue by continually prospecting for and onboarding new business clients within assigned territory.
Meets growth goals (loans, deposits, fees, etc.), through development of new business members, deepening relationships with assigned business partners as well as maintaining an established network of resources or centers of influence.
Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business partners. Partners with other departments to ensure business partners have a positive experience. Utilizes an understanding of the business partner’s operating environment, structure financing and treasury management solutions to make recommendations that support their overall business needs.
Generates quality commercial-focused referrals to internal peers, such as sourcing deposits, loans, treasury management services, etc. Identifies and refers additional consumer opportunities.to the appropriate department or branch.
Develops a clear retention and growth plan for assigned partner business members within the specified territory. Works with Corporate Engagement Team to help deliver financial education and support for employees and volunteers of assigned partners.
Represents FMFCU at networking functions and become directly involved with business associations to foster new initiatives and relationships. Holds an active Board or Committee member position for at least one community-based organization.
Identifies and works with internal partners to respond to RFP’s from businesses, government or municipal entities.
Possesses and constantly enhances expert knowledge of the market, member base, and broader economic factors.
Partners with District Managers to strategize and implement commercial prospecting efforts within assigned district. Maintains a relationship with the branch personnel by partnering on networking, community education, and business development efforts.
Utilizes software platforms to develop prospecting lists, research account history items, open business accounts and submit loan referrals and applications.
Is responsible for adhering to operational controls, including compliance with all required regulations and policies such as the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) to ensure the safety and soundness of the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union and its members.
QualificationsEducation/Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, finance, or related area
3+ years relevant experience
In-depth understanding of commercial industry, business development techniques and credit decisions
Proven business development track record, with proven ability to conceptualize and implement effective new business strategies
Extensive network of outside referral sources for new business
