Senior Qualifications Assessor

 

Worcester based with a balance of home and office working

 

£31,703 - £33,371 per year

 

35 hours per week

 

We have an opportunity for a Senior Qualifications Assessor to join our Learning and Development Qualifications team, based in Worcester. This role sits within Group HR Services, which is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources and Learning & Development, developing policy and supporting managers to implement this appropriately in line with the Group's aims.

 

The role of Senior Qualifications Assessor will include:

  • Undertaking quality assurance of Assessments in line with the RQF or equivalent  and participate in Internal Qualify Assurance and Assessments as required
  • Assisting candidates in collating their portfolios for Assessment and Internal Quality Assurance and moderation, ensuring accurate records are maintained on progress and completions
  • Assisting with the co-ordination, communication and maintenance of relationships with internal and external customers, identifying any shortfalls in service delivery and ensuring they are dealt with appropriately, escalating issues where appropriate
  • Supporting the development of quality staff by coaching and mentoring others to ensure required skilled staff available to meet awarding body requirements and business needs for delivering qualifications in line with the RQF, apprenticeship and other programmes as needed

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Recent experience of undertaking a similar role undertaking qualification assessments and verifications within the RQF or Apprenticeship programmes or similar
  • NVQ3 or equivalent in relevant discipline e.g. Housing, Business Administration, Customer Service
  • Vocational Assessors award and Internal Verifiers award (A1, V1, TAQA) or equivalent
  • Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector or equivalent
  • Some experience in coaching and mentoring
  • Proficient user of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential

  • Role salary is £30,396 with an additional policy allowance of £1,307 per annum (rising to £31,995 with an additional policy allowance of £1,376 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
