About the role
Total Wine & More is seeking a talented Product Manager to join our Supply Chain & Merchandising team onsite at our headquarters in Bethesda, MD. Our team leads the Total Wine & More supply chain and merchandising management systems (planning, purchasing, catalog & trading partner management, inventory management, etc.). We are in the midst of a multi-year transformation of our systems and processes with a focus on user experience, process scalability. We are looking for a Product Manager who is passionate about user experiences, energetic design thinkers, self-driven technologists, and smart strategists. You will be comfortable talking to developers in our Agile teams as you are communicating with our partners in operations, merchandising and supply chain. You will report into the Director of Product Management. You will
- Lead a team of developers, QA engineers, UX/UI Designers and partners to build high-value features that meet customer needs and drive efficiency.
- Lead discovery workshops to define the vision
- Lead inception processes, effectively turning the vision into defined user stories and a prioritized backlog
- Work with business and vendor partners to understand existing processes and pain points, applying targeted techniques to define efficient and effective user experiences which drive desired outcomes
- Utilize data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and communicate data insights to others
- Demonstrate record of success collaborating on and launching successful features
- Collaborate with your partners to provide leadership and direction to agile teams in building effective products to support our future growth
- Drive user adoption of new products
- 5+ years of software product management or equivalent experience for a customer-facing product within web and/or mobile
- Agile product management experience
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Retail business process experience a plus
- Experience managing software development tools (JIRA, Confluence)
