How You Will Make a Difference

The Regional Account Manager (RAM) must achieve annual sales objectives in a given geographical region. This committed salesperson must be able to achieve results through customer contacts and support activities and develop and nurture the long-term relationships that will assure continued success and growth for the company.  The RAM will work with/indirectly manage 75+ distributor reps who sell directly to dental practices.  Additionally, the RAM will be responsible for calling on government, academic institutions & corporate DSO contacts, including meeting with C-suite personnel such as deans, heads of faculty and procurement decision makers.

 

This is a remote based Customer facing position. To support and service our customers in this assigned territory, candidates must be based out of Chicago, IL metropolitan area.
 

What You Will Do

•    Sell dental instrumentation and infection prevention & control products and services to territory accounts including conscious sedation, dental unit waterlines, instrument management systems (IMS), and sterilization solutions associated validation and support services as developed. 
•    Drives Revenue and Margin Growth by developing strong business relationships, understanding the Customer’s needs, presenting the value of HuFriedyGroup and negotiating to favorable agreements with critical territory account Customers which may include any or all of the following: dealer sales branches/representatives, private practices, CHCs and DSOs. 
•    Evaluates account performance against established objectives and identifies and implements strategies and action plans to ensure achievement of targets. 
•    Educates Customers on the various technical and commercial value propositions of HuFriedyGroup products and services to ensure the proper understanding and acceptance of our value-added contributions. 
•    Collaborates with partners in Customer Meetings that demonstrates the value of HuFriedyGroup to drive outcomes that increase sales and profits. 
•    Utilizes Understanding of Customer needs to recommend new products and services to improve efficiency, reliability and Customer value to drive sustained growth potential, and apply industry innovations. 
•    Design, schedule, implement and monitor promotional programs with qualified Customers to enhance growth opportunities within assigned region. Counsel dealers, group accounts, and/or purchasing agents on promotional opportunities, special programs, new product introductions, and related sales information. 
 

What You Will Need to Be Successful

•    5-7 years B2B sales experience required, preferably in the dental business.  Clinical dental or dental sales is an asset
•    The ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in regard to significant business matters and duties.
•    Ability to accommodate a customary and regular travel schedule, including an overnight travel schedule, approximately 25-50% depending on territory. Also, must occasionally work weekends
•    Must have valid driver’s license and means of transportation to make sales calls
 

Required Experience

•    Bachelor’s Degree or 10+years of work experience within the dental industry in conjunction with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene or Dental Assisting is acceptable in lieu of a 4 year degree
