In this position…

  • Senior Production Supervisor - Maintenance is in the facilities department at the Dearborn Stamping Plant. 
  • Strong mechanical and electrical background is required. 
  • This is a currently a day shift position.
  • Successful candidate must have the ability to work overtime, and weekends as needed. 
  • Prior experience working with a unionized workforce is preferred. A strong commitment to safety, cost, and quality is required.
  • Ability to seamlessly interact with management and hourly workforce in a dynamic, high-volume environment. 
  • Drive continuous improvement.

What you'll do….

  • Create a safety culture and apply and implement workplace policies
  • Manage expense budget daily to deliver cost objectives. 
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to facilities project workforce. 
  • Lead capital and expense projects to meet deadlines and manage budget.
  • Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members, union, and management teams.
  • Communicate effectively with hourly team members, leaders, business partners and customers.
  • Administer the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) consistently and effectively.
  • Evaluate team member performance and encourage continuous improvement.

You'll have... 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  •  5+ years of supervisory and / or manufacturing experience
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends and overtime when necessary
  • Extensive working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

Even better, you may have…

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Safety and quality experience 
  • Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified
  •  Knowledge of lean manufacturing
  • Extensive construction experience in a unionized environment
  • Prior experience managing a unionized workforce
