As the Chief Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in leading the modernization of our Clinical applications and driving the transformation of healthcare through AI and cloud-based solutions. You will work closely with our existing Clinical Digital Assistant team and lead the development of AI capabilities for Clinical Digital Assistant and our evolving clinical systems. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a visionary team that is poised to make a significant impact on the healthcare industry. You will be a technical leader on innovative and actionable projects specialized in the field of large language models and generative AI. You will partner with product managers to transform business requirements into practical deep learning projects and will collaborate with software engineers to deploy cutting-edge solutions into production. You will play a pivotal part in driving transformation of healthcare through AI and cloud-based solutions, including the new Clinical Digital Assistant. You will work closely with senior leadership on strategy and champion these cutting-edge AI/ML solutions to leaderships and engineering teams.

Specific responsibilities include:
1. Explainability: Lead efforts to ensure that our Clinical AI models are explainable, and that users understand the “whys” behind ML-driven predictions.
2. Fairness and Bias Mitigation: Ensure science teams are raising the bar on best practices in monitoring and mitigating sources of bias in data and models.
3. Identify AI Impact Opportunities: Partner with product management and engineering leaders to identify new opportunities to transform clinical practice through AI.
4. Team Leadership: Lead by example, setting a clear culture of teamwork, high expectations, success, and customer focus.
5. Strategic Vision: Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for Clinical AI, aligning it with the company's objectives and healthcare industry trends.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in science and science leadership roles, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects.
- Deep technical expertise in AI/ML, cloud technologies, and application modernization.
- Previous experience in healthcare technology or related fields is highly desirable.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate technical vision into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Defines the bar for engineering practices and ops practices, and helps teams achieve those goals.

US: Hiring Range: from $161,600 to $338,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
