JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State’s World Campus is seeking an Instructional Production Specialist - Intermediate Support to join our digital learning team. Candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of courses in which they will execute the administrative, technical, production, and task management aspects of repeat, revision, and new course development cycles. Delivering comprehensive implementation and technical support to our Instructional Designers (IDs), Instructors, and other Instructional Production Specialists (IPSs) are among primary goals. This role involves configuring, maintaining, and updating course elements, information, and technology tools in internal administrative systems, content management systems (CMS), and learning management systems (LMS), as well as updating and maintaining Web pages and supporting the production and administration of online courses along with meeting accessibility and quality assurance standards. Core responsibilities include preparing multiple sections of course content every semester including importing and exporting of course content, updating course schedule and assignment dates, validating and replacing links, and assuring accessibility standards are met. Additionally, coordinating materials such as managing electronic library resource requests/reactivations, confirming course materials, requesting copyright permissions, providing ongoing support for courses, and collaborating with a diverse team of technology subject matter experts and academic partners. Collaborating teams include but are not limited to: Quality Assurance, User Accessibility, Programming, Editing, Multimedia, Program and Project Management, Faculty, Penn State Information Technology Service Desk, and Penn Stat
