Business area Mining is a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, parts, service, digital solutions and sustainability-driving technologies for the mining and construction industries. Applications include rock drilling, rock cutting, loading and hauling, tunneling and quarrying.

The Supply Chain Planning Specialist supports Parts and Services Sales Representatives (PSSRs) to drive the forecasting process in collaboration with direct customers, including a comparison of CRM opportunity data with demand forecast.  Utilizing demand forecasting principles and systems to deliver effective part plans to support Sandvik installed (existing and growing fleet) base within assigned market area or customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing Strategic stock tool to secure inventory levels to support unpredicted failures according to fleet size and age
  • To support parts planning for the introduction of new customers, parts portfolio solutions in the market, as well as new machine models
  • Supporting meeting targets on revenue growth, OTD, warehouse stock turns, and Networking Capital targets for Parts and Services

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

DIRECT CUSTOMERS PARTS SUPPORT

  • Support the PSSR in accomplishing parts forecasting through analyzing the customer maintenance plans to meet customer expectations on time parts availability

  • Identify inventory policy deviations and proposal of mitigation plans including proper escalations process
  • Utilize Sandvik systems and processes to manage replenishment of any agreed consignment stock levels within area of responsibility.
  • Review in line with Inventory Controller job scope of all return requests form assigned customer base for compliance and impact.
  • Be the consolidation point for parts forecast (maintenance kits, major components, etc.) at the customer level by making PSSRs or Service Team accountable as owners of the information
  • Collaborate with the PSSRs on engaging in Customers Operations or Maintenance activities to capture forecast improvement opportunities to improve parts and equipment availability
  • Provide customized weekly/monthly/quarterly progress reports to internal stakeholders for customers under the responsibility regarding planning activities and KPI performance
  • Creation and motivation of all strategic stock requests under assigned customer scope or market area as well as monthly review and renewal of expired requests.

DEALERS AD-HOC SUPPORT

  • Participate in service level review meetings with internal Dealer’s stakeholders
  • Deliver on Quarterly handshake actions agreed with internal Dealer’s stakeholders on specific projects or needs
  • Provide PSSR’s with support on root cause analysis on OTD performance and key influencing factors as well as potential solutions to improve performance

DEMAND AND INVENTORY PLANNING BY PRODUCT

  • Define inventory levels to support unpredicted machine failures based on fleet size and aging for fleet and customers under assigned accounts and responsibilities.
  • Continues service level improvement initiatives in collaboration with Logistics and Product Portfolio for product lines under assigned responsibility (i.e., Rock Drills, Engines, etc.)
  • Be the consolidation point for the forecast of product lines assigned and support the Product Portfolio with inputs and recommendations
  • Responsible for supporting Product Portfolio specific initiatives as per request (i.e., the launch of a new product, out phase of products)
  • Support with a parts plan for introduction of new equipment in the market

RECOMMENDED SPARE PARTS LIST AND POC MODELS CUSTODIAN

  • Responsible for keeping a generic major component file for each model of the division under responsibility
  • Responsible for keeping Recommended Spare Parts Lists (RSPL) for all serial numbers of the market area assign
