Essential Functions:
- Assists with the daily operations of the department, including policies and procedures, budget management, recruitment, and other administrative tasks.
- Participates in departmental planning, marketing and implementation of new programs. Assists with coordination of departmental performance improvement activities.
- Performs the clinical duties of department staff, effectively interacting with patients, families, health care teams and supervised staff.
- Serves as an advocate and liaison for department in committees and meetings and with internal and external groups.
- Supervises department staff, providing clinical leadership and expertise and ensuring compliance with performance standards and external regulatory agencies. Assist with the training and continuing education of staff.
Education Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree in related field, required.
Licensure Requirement:
State of Ohio Licensure in Occupational Therapy, required.
Certifications:
CPR certification, required. Must be received no later than 60 days post hire or 60 days post expiration.
Skills:
- Exceptional customer service, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Effective leadership, decision-making, and supervisory skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Experience:
- Two years minimum experience in a clinical setting, required.
- Acute care pediatric experience, preferred.
- Experience in a leadership capacity, preferred.
