Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Global Services (BGS) Government Training Engineering (GTE), is currently seeking an Associate-Level Systems Engineering Integrator for its Hazelwood, MO location.  GTE Training Systems is responsible for designing, developing, building, integrating, testing, and delivering flight training solutions to the warfighter. The flight simulators and manned stations are high fidelity, tech heavy, fully immersive training machines that allow the warfighter to maintain their mission readiness in their pursuit to defend freedom around the world.

The selected applicant will be a member of a geographically dispersed, high-performing, collaborative team, and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, excellent time-management, and interpersonal skills.  This team operates in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to support all aspects of product development.  The applicant will be expected to actively help the team to continuously improve and develop innovative and creative solutions to products and processes and to coach the team in systems engineering and integration best practices. The candidate would be responsible for the on-site setup, integration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and spares of training systems simulators and electronic classroom hardware and software.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
  • Evaluate customer and/or operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
  • Perform various analysis to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
  • Perform computing delivery system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration, and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture and administer user system access to meet security requirements.
  • Develop the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risks, issues, opportunities management, and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
  • Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification (ex. Security+, SSCP, etc.) is required.  However, certification can be completed within the first 60 days post-start.
  • The candidate must have the ability to work first or second shift, weekends, and/or overtime as needed.  The position requires on site support, with occasional telecommuting opportunities Travel may be required depending on the job assignment.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Pre-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Associate’s level degree in a relevant technical field, including Systems, Electrical/Electronic and Computer technologies
  • 1+ years of experience developing, integrating, maintaining and/or delivering hardware devices
  • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing computing system hardware and software
  • Experience working in a team environment and communicating clearly with both internal and external customers

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
  • Previous Training Systems Experience
  • Experience in a role that required strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and an ability to translate technical detail into commercially-viable recommendations
  • Experience with Agile development, especially Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar methodologies

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

This is a hybrid position, local to St. Louis, MO, that allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at one of the listed location options. T
