About the role

This Supply Chain Engineer position offers a hybrid work schedule with weekly on-site visits to the Ruan campus located downtown Des Moines, IA. Great opportunity for candidate with 3+ years of relatable work experience!     The purpose of this position is to improve the productivity, quality, performance and profitability of company operations and service offerings by applying engineering methods and analysis to a variety of business opportunities and problems.  Software experience:

  • Lllamasoft Supply Chain Guru
  Responsibilities:  Carrying out the Company's organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies are required functions. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:  
  • Analyze data, determine sample size, and use optimization software to create solutions that improve both company and customer processes.
  • Lead design and pricing projects. Work with all project principals in understanding scope, leading meetings, coordinating work and meeting deadlines.
  • Lead customer-facing and internal presentations of completed engineering and design projects.
  • Create analysis summaries, KPIs, new business pro formas and proposal documents for customer presentations and rate submission.
  • Mentor, review, and approve project results for Staff Engineering Analysts.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Qualifications Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
Course(s) of Study: Industrial Engineer, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related fields of study   Experience: 3 - 5 years Type of Experience: Transportation or Business Analytics
Types of Experience: Transportation or Business Analytics with a min of two years in a logistics engineering role   Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Must be able to commit to Ruan's value statement by acting with integrity in everything we do.   2. Must be able to meet behavioral expectations and perform in alignment with our guiding principles: safety, people, customer, performance, and continuous improvement.   3. Must have strong computer skills including MS Office products (Excel, Access, Word, etc.). Requires strong analytical and organizational skills. Must be able to prioritize workload in a multi-task environment. Requires strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people.. Must be able to work proficiently in supply chain and transportation modeling.   Physical Demands of the Job:
Employee may be required to work in excess of 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, as required to perform essential functions. Must present neat, clean, and professional appearance of self and use proper business etiquette.   Environment Demands of the Job:
