Reporting to the Director, HEMA (Robotics and Digital Solutions), the Associate Director, Health Economics & Market Access for Surgical Robotics partners cross-functionally to build and execute integrated health economic and market access strategies for the OTTAVA Platform.

This role will: (i) identify evidence gaps and collaborate with hospitals to execute economic studies and real-world evidence generation (e.g., retrospective EMR studies, time-and-motion studies, analysis analyses); (ii) partner with hospital administrators and surgeons to understand and execute evidence generation opportunities to demonstrate the clinical, operational and economic value of J&J’s robotic products; (iii) partner with Clinical on protocol design so endpoints and health economics data address access needs; (iv) lead evidence dissemination, including customer-facing materials that support the value proposition and adoption of J&J’s robotic products; and (v) partner with regional HEMA teams to ensure key regional requirements inform the overall US market access strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the economic evidence strategy for surgical robotics by identifying evidence gaps and prioritizing endpoints and studies that support the value proposition and stakeholder needs.

  • Co-design pragmatic, feasible study protocols with hospital partners and the Clinical team.

  • Oversee study execution, including site selection, data collection, and analysis.

  • Translate evidence into customer-facing materials (e.g., value story brief, cost-of-care analysis, hospital case studies) for hospital C-suite and administrative leaders.

  • Partner with US Sales and global teams to deliver consistent value messages supported by appropriate education, tools, and evidence.

  • Assess market access needs and trends and help develop strategies to support adoption and commercial success.

  • Represent the voice of external, non-clinical stakeholders (e.g., hospital administrators) and ensure market access requirements are reflected in the product pipeline and value proposition.
