performance. The principal has primary responsibility and accountability for establishing his or her school as a high-quality, high-expectations academic center with a focus on personalized instruction, professional support for teachers, and school-wide practices that lead to measurable results.

THE OPPORTUNITY
As part of the College and Readiness Team, the project manager, college and career readiness, will serve as the lead support for a range of tasks necessary for the successful implementation of changes at the school level. As a partner in execution, the project manager, college and career readiness will support the in-school understanding and implementation of Credit Recovery, Summer and Winter Commencement, and management of projects associated with the Department of College and Career Readiness. This includes overall project management, supporting appropriate changes, and continuous improvement of all listed programs across the student experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the District’s Credit Recovery strategy
  • Work closely with the program manager, data software and utilization and the District curriculum team to research educational program models, components, cost, and service providers for online credit recovery programming
  • Work closely with the program manager, school counseling and the community college career center Coordinators to ensure that the CMSD Senior Survey is properly implemented throughout the District
  • Provide project management support for the College and Career Readiness Team events that include but are not limited to Who’s Who in High School Students, the annual Ivy League Book Awards, and Planning and Career Exploration (PACE) career awareness events
  • Drive all facets of the District’s summer and winter high school commencement ceremonies
  • Provide administrative leadership and planning support to central office staff, principals, and other school-based staff to further specific project goals
  • Be adept in dealing with structured and unstructured situations that will require troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Perform other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
    • Demonstrated success working with school partners to increase successful student outcomes
    • Experience managing complex projects that are time-sensitive and deadline-driven
