About The Role
Veralto is looking for a Senior Director of Strategic Development to contribute to the corporate strategic direction for the new ~$5B enterprise. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Sustainability and working with various strategic partners across the Groups and the wider Veralto Strategy and Corporate Development organization, this highly visible role is instrumental in shaping the strategic direction and inorganic growth trajectory of the enterprise and driving shareholder value.
Your Responsibilities
The Senior Director of Strategic Development will help define strategic direction and inorganic priorities for Veralto. This role has the opportunity to significantly impact the company through strategically attractive acquisitions that will deliver strong returns on capital.
This position is part of the wider M&A and strategy team and will be located on-site in Boston with flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.
Your Experience
You will:
- Learn established processes for market work and deal execution from long-tenured colleagues at Veralto and be a steward of process improvement through VES (Veralto Enterprise System)
- Become the expert on unfamiliar markets through primary, proprietary market work
- Partner with operating company presidents and strategy leaders across the segments to inform and support the development of coherent Group and corporate strategic plans
- Design workshops and convene thought leaders and subject matter experts to advance strategic initiatives for the new enterprise
- Simplify complex topics and communicate the business levers that define winning and losing in adjacent and unfamiliar markets
Your Attributes
The essential requirements of the job include:
- 6+ years evaluating the market attractiveness and strategic fit of new businesses/markets/domains
- 2-3 years in a top-tier consulting firm or equivalent experience focused on market analysis and/or growth/strategy commercial projects
- Undergraduate degree in software engineering or other technical discipline and top tier MBA required
- Substantial experience and/or formal education that has allowed the development of a deep understanding of a domain and/or industry resulting in key customer insights and empathy
- 2-3 years’ experience executing in a non-consulting role in regulated markets
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Line management in a relevant sector/domain to our Veralto businesses or adjacent industries
- Participated in 2-3 closed outside or inside diligence projects
- Previous experience or exposure to regulatory, government, or external affairs

An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
