SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

Provide technical mentoring and leadership to Manufacturing Operations infrastructure, developing automation and documentation to ensure scalable and reliable technical solutions that improve operational efficiency. Additionally, administer Linux systems, network switches, storage arrays, and associated infrastructure.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...

• Technical Mentorship: Provide technical mentorship for peers on the team.
• Operational Excellence: Plan, deploy, maintain, secure, automate, and monitor infrastructure for Manufacturing Operations at contract manufacturer sites and test labs.
• Automation: Implement automation solutions as a general practice to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Documentation and Process Improvement: Document standards, procedures, and run books to improve operational efficiency and standardize responses to issues, while improving those procedures in the process.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with MFG Test and Software Development teams to create cross-functional solutions to common challenges.
• Systems and Network Administration: Administer Linux systems, network switches, and storage arrays with an emphasis on hardening against security threats.
• Systems Automation: Write applications and scripts, and use monitoring software to help detect and correct problems. Support automated deployment and configuration management of Linux systems through custom scripts and configuration management software.
• Incident Response: Participate in an on-call rotation to respond quickly to incidents that impact our ability to ship product.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

• Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal abilities to mentor the team and communicate cross-functionally.
• Automation Experience: 2+ years in systems automation using tools like Puppet or Ansible and/or scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
• Technical Proficiency: 4+ years of solid Linux administration experience, preferably in a DevOps/SRE setting, or equivalent. Network administration (EOS/IOS) experience preferred, but not required. Strong knowledge of VMWare ESX, SQL database administration, and/or storage arrays, with hands-on involvement required.
• Operational Leadership: Knowledge of production environments and workflows essential for maintaining and scaling systems as the business grows.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Lehi office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

The annual base salary range is: $125,000 - $186,000.
