POSITION

Allspring Global Investments is seeking an individual with a strong track record and experience in cloud security to join our dynamic Information Security team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as a hands-on expert and builder, developing and implementing security technologies and controls with performance, operability, and scale in mind.
• Be a proficient resource in AWS Cloud native technologies, architectures, and capabilities. You will closely collaborate with technology and business teams, offering direction and assistance to promote the use of up-to-date front-end technologies and strengthen our security position.
• Architect security capabilities across multiple technology, application, and business teams.
• Thrive in a multi-cloud environment, working with both AWS and Azure.
• Develop, execute, and uphold industry standards.
• Foster strong relationships with developers, technology teams, solution teams, and business application owners.
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, technology teams, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve organizational goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in MIS, CS, or another technology-related field OR equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 5+ years of information security experience, preferably in Financial Services, Technology, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly explain complex ideas to individuals with varying technical knowledge.
• Relevant AWS certification, demonstrating your expertise in AWS Cloud native technologies and architectures.
• Effective influencing and consensus-building skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and drive alignment on security initiatives.
• Strategic focus on problem-solving, with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions to complex security challenges.
• Strong teaching and mentoring skills, allowing you to transfer knowledge and act as a valuable resource to team members.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, enabling you to deliver engaging and informative presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working effectively in a heavily distributed environment, collaborating with teams spanning multiple locations.
• Consulting experience is a plus, showcasing your ability to provide expert guidance and support to clients.
• Demonstrated experience with maintaining strong documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of security controls and procedures.
• Effective communication skills to confidently engage with colleagues across all levels of the organization, fostering
