Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the preparation and review of financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations for Lincoln's administrative entities. This role supports the monthly close process, variance analysis, and billing/collections operations for assigned markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for admin cost centers and balance sheet accounts.
- Perform monthly close activities, including accruals, prepaids, and intercompany transactions for assigned markets.
- Prepare monthly variance analysis and financial reports for admin entities.
- Process or review billing, collections, and cash application for assigned markets and revenue streams.
- Manage reimbursable employee allocation schedules and reconcile market cash activity.
- Coordinate with property management teams and Market Finance to ensure accurate and aligned reporting.
- Support audit preparation and year-end close activities.
- Provide guidance and support to accounting associates on the team.
- Identify process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA candidacy or completion preferred.
- 4-6 years of accounting experience; commercial real estate or professional services experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and multi-entity accounting.
- Experience with billing, collections, and cost allocation processes preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting ERP systems; advanced Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
